Wal-Mart will break the $1,000 barrier for a big-screen Plasma set on Black Friday.

Wal-Mart is planning to offer a 42-inch Plasma HDTV (with a HD tuner inside) for
just $998 on the day after Thanksgiving, according to various news reports. Known

In looking at the Wal-Mart ad on bfads.net, I see that this receiver has a resolution of 1024X768 pixels -- not quite 720p, as stated in the ad. Also, the price is $988 (5a.m to 11 a.m.).
The same ad has a 32 inch LCD for $598, which does have true 720p capability.
Swann should be punished for false advertisement EDTV set as HDTV. ;)
