Playback after exiting not playing from where I left off

When I am watching a recorded show and I exit the show before it is over and I go back to finish watching it both my HR20 100 and my HR20 700 start the program from the begining instead of where I left off.

This just started about a week ago when all of my favorite channels were wiped out and I had to re program them (not sure if these issues are related to each other).

Is this a software issue or is there something that can be done to fix this?

I don't have an HR20, but 2 HR21's and an HR22 - I would expect this to be the same (someone please correct me if I am wrong). When I exit a show that I am watching and later go back to replay it, I have 2 options for how I can play it. I have one option that says "Resume" and one that says "Start Over". I see this when I go to Menu -> My Playlist -> Select Show I want to see.

Is this how you are getting back to the show that you want to watch? Does it have these 2 options?

I just go to list and play the show I want to watch.

I do not have those options. This just started to happen last week. Before that it ould resume where I left off.

Score023 - I had this happen to me occasionally about 2-3 weeks ago. I start programs like you do (play button from list) and I was surprised to see that programs that I know I had started watching were starting over from the beginning.

I can't offer much help since it stopped happening a couple days later and I haven't seen it again since.

Same here also if i highlight the show in the LIST and press PLAY it resumes from where it left off

I've found that shutting down the HRs while a recorded program is playing usually results in the program having to be watched from the beginning. If you stop the program (hit ''Exit'') and then shut down, you can usually go directly to the Playlist and hit "Play" and it will resume where you left off.
