Poll: Did a replacement HR20 fix your problems?

For those of you who have had your HR20 replaced due to problems, can you please indicate whether it fixed your problems? I think I'm going to get mine replaced, but I'm not overly optimistic it'll fix my problems.

Thanks in advance!

Would you give an option: I never have replaced my HR20?

I thought of adding three other options:

4. No: I've never had a single lockup or missed recording.
5. I have not replaced it, but it has missed recordings and/or locked up

But I wanted it to be more specific to folks who HAVE replaced their HR20. I should probably add #4, but don't know if (how) I can edit a poll?
You can't, but I can.
I added a 4th option, to say that you haven't replaced the receiver (regardless of the reason, covers more cases then just those that have had PERFECT HR20s)

Thanks Earl, but I think that leaves it a bit ambiguous. I'd rather have it represent people that have never experienced the lockups nor partial/deleted/missed recordings, since that is an indicator of so-called perfect units (or perfect end users :)). Would you mind making the change to reflect that? Otherwise, the number will indicate both users without problems and those (like me) who are hesitant to exchange it.

For those of you responding "No I haven't replaced...", can you please clarify in this thread why you haven't replaced it, until Earl can update the poll (if he's willing :)).

I'd like to know whether you've had no problems, or you just haven't bothered replacing it (like me).

Thanks!
Okay... I changed it, but I can't removed those that voted for that option.
my 4th replacement worked (well its working now).

Thanks Earl. Hopefully anyone that voted for that and has had problems but not returned it will speak up here so we can factor that into the poll results.

I just voted for the last category (N/A) and it didn't give me an error message, so it took it?

If you haven't had any problems, then that's fine. If you just haven't replaced it even though you haven't had a missed/deleted recording, then you are skewing the results!!! j/k

No problems in 6 weeks that even required a reboot, no missed recordings, bsod, zippo.
This poll does not have a selection for those who have problems and have not returned it. I have not returned it because I think the problems are software oriented, exchanging the hr20 would be of no help. If I had a bad tuner or failed hard drive or other then I would look to get an exchange.

Yes, that was the other option I had suggested. I guess maybe Earl can add it?

Earl? *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*

Do you want to trade HR20s?
I had mine replaced because it was extremely noisy. I find the newer one to be better but not as quiet as it should be: tolerable with practice...:)

I can't vote for "fixed all my problems" or "didn't fix my problems". I need a "somewhat" or "improvement noted" option.
I've had one recording that froze and I could not get past it. This was over two months ago. I do have some issue with 'searching for satellite signal' from time to time though. I've never called D* for tech support.
My issues with the box are not really box related! I think the local MPEG4 here in the Orlando area is just god awfull!!!
I have only had 1 partial program, and that was most likely my fault (hey I just got the unit, I had to see what all the buttons did!).. Other than that, no missed shows, no premature deletions. If they get the local MPEG4 figured out, I'll be completely satisfied. (until the wife starts complaining more about the audio drop when changing to XM stations when using the optical on our reciever)
No, nothing fixes the problems on these clunkers
