I checked my signal strength and noticed that 99(c) was low (40s and 50s). The installer said it was fine because 101, 110, 119 were all good. THe next day I was calling in because D* had an extra receiver activated on my account so I talked to the CSR about the low number on 99. I was told that 103 was the importand dish for HD locals in my area (near San Jose, Ca.).

My number are as follows:

Correct HD Dish setup. 103 B-Band Odd (13V)

481 displays:

103 B-Band Even (18V). BBC confirmed working.

482 displays:

Correct HD Dish setup. 99 B-Band Odd.

483 displays:

Correct HD Dish setup. 99 B-Band Even.

Even though I am receiving my HD locals and other HD content, this seems wrong to me. Thanks for any help.

Nah. Your numbers for 99c and 103c are too low. You need a realignment.

Mertzen is correct. You signals on 99(c) and 103(c) are way to low. You need to have a tech out to realign your dish.

You don't really need to worry about 110 and 119 any more but 101 should all be in the 90's and 99(c) and 103(c) should all be in the high 80's to 90's.

I will bet that you are about 1 full turn, of the elevation fine adjustment screw, to low.
