Im a new subscriber to Dish Network as of last Saturday. I have the HD plat package, and so far am liking it. Of course my only beef was not checking all the HD channels while the installer was there, seems that upon inspection of viewing some channels and the dish pointer, my LNB is hosed up, repair forthcoming......
Anyhow I am curious as to what is available in HD via local channels, the major networks, NBC/CBS/ABC/FOX/CW. I live in Plainville KS, this is north of Hays. Witchita is not on the list of local HD network currently served, although I do get those in standard def. OTA is not a possiblity, no one is transmitting in this area yet. Is it possible to subscribe to the Kansas City HD Locals, or to get the Network's themselves in HD, out of L.A./New York(where ever they come from) or even the Denver, Co Springs maybe.
I skimmed over the whole distant network deal, but to me, and again this is the newbie retard speaking, why shouldnt I be able to subscribe to HD locals to as close as I can get to them, be it KC or Denver ect. ? If that is a possiblity, do I need to grip and complain with a CSR to get it turned on?
I would imagine this has been asked a few times, sorry for the inconvience.
