Since Im a newbie to DOD, was wondering how long it generally takes a HD PPV movie to show up once its been on PPV.

Ill prob download most of my HD purchases a head of time, instead of dealing with the PPV schedule.

Once a movie hits PPV, is there a general time frame before its up on DOD? Or, is it random? Also, do all PPV movies make it to DOD?

If you go to "My Playlist", the tab to the right is now labeled "Movies Now & Showcases". There are a few PPV movies there that is pushed to your unit. They are pushed DoD programs.

I have tons of PPV movies in my DOD list. I have downloaded about 4 or 5, but can't watch them. There's no way to purchase them, so when it gets five minutes in, it stops playing, with error (733).

I would've thought by now they would've have this kind of stuff working. Their losing money, since no one can purchase the movies.

Are just using the "Play" button, or do you use the "Buy/Watch" button first in the dvr list menu.

I was assuming you had to "Buy/Watch" first.

There is no "Buy/Watch" button, anywhere to be found. Only "Play".

This is on both my HR20-100 and HR21-100.

When I hit "List" on the remote, then select one of the DOD downloaded movies, about half way down I have a "Buy/Watch" selection. I have not watched one yet, plan to watch Vantage Point tonight

Yeah, I don't get that option at all. I wonder what the difference is between my DVRs, and yours' is.

Mine is exactly like that, but there's no choice between "Delete" and "Purchases". I don't know how to upload a photo, so I can't really show you. But mine only has five choices, not six.

Thats strange. Do your dvr's have the newest software?

Yeah...I spoke to D* tech support, and they claim it needs to make a call back to the mother ship, and then it will work. I don't know why it won't just use the Internet connect to take care of the problem.

They sent a signal to the box to make it call, but it hasn't happened yet.

Some people have been reporting that the networked connection is not working for call back on PPV, they have had to use a land line(phone) connection. My network connection works fine on one HR and not the other, go figure.
