I subscribed to Direct HD DVR in April of this year for the first time. Sometime between 5 pm 9/7 and 8 am 9/9, all of my DVR content was deleted and replaced by content from a previous user - with dates of November, December and February. Movies from channels I don't subscribe to, and series recordings that are not mine.
My series manager was NOT disturbed, and picked back up again the morning of 9/9 as scheduled, so now my DVR content includes a few of my own recordings (in the last 24 hours) and a bunch of other stuff I've never seen before.
I called DTV tech support and they were mystified, said no code downloads to the box since June, nothing that would have precipitated such an odd event. Of course they also said this should never NEVER happen (no kidding...)
Has anyone else heard of this? I'm not too hopeful of getting my content back at this point, but would like to know what happened so I can avoid it in the future if possible. I was pretty miffed about losing all my recordings!
