I got a used D12 on eBay and I can't get signal on the satellite in part. I looked inside the coaxial input and it seems like the contacts are too spaced appart sp the coaxial line can not touch them. How do I fix that?
Step 1: Determine if you have multiswitch or SWM based system.
Step 2: Go into setup on the D12 and make sure it is properly set to the type of system you have.
Assuming you have properly connected the receiver to the same system your other receivers are active on, you should now see a signal. If not, you may have purchased a defective receiver. By "properly" I mean it is wired correctly, either to a good SWM port, or to a multiswitch port, or to an open output connector on an LNB assembly.
