Several people have noted it takes up to the second billing period for promo credits to appear.
cbodirsal, seems to be "cash back offer direct sales", meaning you went through a direct sales agent and got the cash back offer, this is not for the aaa discount or referal credit, the referal credit most likely will never show up on your bill, you have to go through a very specific number to get the referal credit, and a different number to get the aaa discount, or the sales agent has to go into "manual" , the system is setup to only offer you promos based on the ph # the call came in fromparagon said:I had a DirecTV install yesterday, and I had was supposed to have both the AAA $10 off a month for 2 years as well as the referral $10 off a month for 5 months. I just saw my account activity and there was only one ten dollar credit listed as "CBODIRSAL". Does anybody know whether that is for the AAA credit or the the referral credit?
Do either of these credits take some time to appear? Should I be calling DirecTV or is not having them both on the first month somethng that is normal?
I called the AAA number. I also told him about the referral during the call and he stated that it would be added. Hmmm.....questions?DishCSR said:cbodirsal, seems to be "cash back offer direct sales", meaning you went through a direct sales agent and got the cash back offer, this is not for the aaa discount or referal credit, the referal credit most likely will never show up on your bill, you have to go through a very specific number to get the referal credit, and a different number to get the aaa discount, or the sales agent has to go into "manual" , the system is setup to only offer you promos based on the ph # the call came in from
if you called the aaa number then the referal credit definately will never show up , since he would not have been able to add it on....it might have been able to be done if he went into "manual" but i'm not sure, I didn't work in direct sales, but i do somewhat know the system they use which btw is not the same system that cust service uses. Direct sales uses a completely different system than cust service uses, cust service never sees the direct sales system and direct sales never see the customer service system. Go figure,,,so a customer service rep would not be able to "fix" this.paragon said:I called the AAA number. I also told him about the referral during the call and he stated that it would be added. Thats not true on the referal credit. I already had my date set for install and called back to add the referral. As long as the account is not activated they can add it. Once its activated then its to late.DishCSR said:cbodirsal, seems to be "cash back offer direct sales", meaning you went through a direct sales agent and got the cash back offer, this is not for the aaa discount or referal credit, the referal credit most likely will never show up on your bill, you have to go through a very specific number to get the referal credit, and a different number to get the aaa discount, or the sales agent has to go into "manual" , the system is setup to only offer you promos based on the ph # the call came in from
I agree, I went through the AAA number used my neighbor as a referral and it was no problem, unfortunately i don't recall if it appeared on the first bill or not. I would call them, tell them you had a referral at sign up and see what they say...joshjr said:Thats not true on the referal credit. I'll give that a shot today. It sounds as if CBODIRSAL represents my AAA credit and that I'm missing the referral which may or may not mean it won't show up next month.Stewpidity said:I agree, I went through the AAA number used my neighbor as a referral and it was no problem, unfortunately i don't recall if it appeared on the first bill or not. THE OP'S ACCOUNT WAS ALREADY ACTIVATED, YES I KNOW IT CAN BE ADDED BEFORE INSTALL AND ACTIVATION, IT WOULD REQUIRE THE ORIGINAL ORDER TO BE CANCELED AND RE-DONE. BUT THAT REP WOULD ALSO NEED TO ADD ALL THE EXTRA DISCOUNTS, AND THAT'S NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE , SINCE THE ORDER CAN ONLY BE CANCELED BY CUSTOMER SERVICE , NOT DIRECT SALES. SO THERE ARE A LOT OF IFS WITH THIS METHOD..SORRY FOR THE CAPS, DIDN'T FEEL LIKE RE-TYING IN LOWER CASEjoshjr said:Thats not true on the referal credit. I did the AAA special and received the $10 credit on my first bill. I wouldn't panick about not seeing the credit in the activity screen. That credit doesn't get posted to my account until a day or two before my bill closes.paragon said:I had a DirecTV install yesterday, and I had was supposed to have both the AAA $10 off a month for 2 years as well as the referral $10 off a month for 5 months.
