My 622 was installed yesterday. The guy did a quality job! First, he never even set up remote 2 for my second TV, had to do it myself. What really got me though was that he also didn't bother to hook up the phone line that was already plugged into my old box - which could have cost me some money.

I laughed it off though. Can't get good service these days.

I like the 622. I'm miffed that the Bronze package doesn't include the music channels like AT120 did. My only technical complaint is that the box seems to lock up when browsing between dish hd channels and local hd OTA. Hopefully they'll patch that bug.

Bronze is similar to AT60
Silver is similar to AT120 and
Gold is similar to AT180

All with HD package, of course. So Bronze would not include the music channels because the AT60 package didn't. You would have to go to the Silver package to get the music stations.

Lock Up? as in completely freezing up? There is an known issue when scanning OTA channels and leaving that screen, but I am not aware of any issues having to do with lock up while channel changing.

It would be nice if you can narrow it down if it is a particular channel? What is the frequency? What is your OTA setup? Need more info here. Locking up with channel changing is not a good thing in the PVR world.

I'll have to give it a try later. The issue seemed to happen when I was going in between the OTA channel and the dish HD locals - flipping through with the channel buttons. Suddenly the screen would go black (with the blue channel header still there and the ability to change channels, but every channel is black), then eventually the unit would completely lock up - meaning no controls would work. The first time this happened, the unit rebooted itself. The other times I ended up powering down the unit.

It sounds exactly like the known bug after the locals are scanned. You exit the HD locals screen and everything seems fine for a few seconds and then the screen goes black just as you described. Is it possible that you were in that screen just before it locked up every time?
