So I thought we were supposed to be able to record 2 ota channels and 2 sat channels at the same time. Am I wrong about this? I have two sat lines in and one atsc antenna line diplexed in but I can only record two channels. When I try to record on an ota channel and a sat channel then try to change channels to a third it says I need to stop one of the recordings. Maybe I misunderstood something or maybe I need to do something to set this up or maybe I need a direct line in from antenna rather then a diplexor. Please , any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Only two recordings can be made at the same time, no matter what source. I've seen this on several posts, probably stickies. You can only have 2 SAT, 2 OTA, 1 SAT and 1 OTA at the same time. That's it.

It is a NET total of 2 recordings at a time.

2 SAT
2 OTA
1 SAT 1 OTA
1 SAT
1 OTA

You can only record 2 of either OTA or SAT, or 1 of each. While the manual says you can record a total of 3 things, this is a typo.
