1000.2 and 129 signal

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello,
I'm in northern Minnesota and just bought the VIP 722 and the 1000.2 dish.
My question is the signal for 129 is so low 30 is best I can get. Can I just put up a single dish and point to the 61.5 or 77 or 72.7 Sats ? The 61.5 theres a big tree that blocks signal but 77 and 72.7 there is open sky. To reciever those 2 Sats I dont adjust the skew right it stays straight the LNB'S ?
Any help would be great on this. Thank you very much.
And could someone tell me what I would set a dish 500 or single dish antenna
at to recieve the 77 or 72.7 sats my zip is 55746. thank you much for any help.

The national HD channels that are on the 129 satellite are also on the 61.5 satellite so, yes, you can put up a single dish for 61.5 (with a DishPro LNB) and connect it to the input of your 1000.2 dish. I would try to find a spot where there is a clear view for 61.5. If not, you are stuck with 129. Your dish pointing screen will tell you where you need to point the dish to get the signal and you don't need to set skew if you use a dish 500 (leave it at 90, no skew).

You won't need to point to 77 or 72.7 since your 1000.2 will be picking up the channels from 119 and 110 and neither the 77 or 72.7 satellites will have the national HD channels.
Another solution is to put up a larger dish for 129 (that is what I have). A dish 500 (with a DishPro LNB) will get you a better signal than the 1000.2. If you do that you will need to cover the 129 LNB on your 1000.2 dish so it will choose the other dish for the 129 signal.
