I installed an esata on my hr20 a couple of months ago. Question. If i restart the hr20 without the esata connected so i can watch the recordings i didnt get a chance to see before i connected the Esata will i lose the recordings on the Esata after i connect it back in and restart the dvr?

"You shouldn't" lose anything.
If there is a problem when the eSATA is reconnected, the receiver may try to reformat it, which would be bad, but shouldn't happen.
