Like a lot of people I'm coming from a DTIVO machine, I just had my HR20 installed yesterday and I can't figure if it's possible to filter searches? With my Tivo unit I was able to search for a movie, by movie sub-category, then by title, however with the HR20 unit the closest I've gotten was searching by title, but that's it - not movie category or sub-category. I've noticed you can have a category and sub-category by using keyword, but that is very specific and doesn't bring up proper results.

I apologized if this has been asked, but I couldn't find the info with a forum search. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums, Kintaro! :welcome_s

Short answer-Tivo has a much more robust filtering mechanism than the HR20. No answer as to "what improvements does D* envision."

Happy New Year!

I was afraid of that :( Well hopefully it will be addressed in the future, for now I guess I can compliment it with internet searches. Thanks for the info and quick replies.
