Just received my first monthly billing since having the HR34 installed. They charged me $6 for the HMC plus $6 for a second receiver! Is this correct, $12mo for the HR34? Thanks.

If you don't have an RVU TV then no it's not correct.

I just noticed I'm being charged twice for my HR34 also. I'll call after 8:00. I'm embarressed to say if the OP hadn't posted I might have nissed this since the extra charge is listed under the credits.

edit: OK, I'm really a fool. I looked again and the extra $6 is because I wasn't charged last month.

note that DirecTV always charges the monthly fee for first receiver, but then credits it back under the credits section of you your bill

This a bug in the way they order the HR34. You probably also got a second ontime $49 charge for install. Call and get it fixed. It took about 30 minutes on the phone with them to fix but they credited it back.
