I Have an R-15 with coaxes going into tuner 1 and tuner 2. Ike blew thru now tuner 2 does not work, the coax going into tuner 2 does not get a signal when I put it on tuner 1 either.I plug tuner 1 coax into tuner 2 on the receiver and no signal. I think the input on the zinwell in the attic for tuner 2 and tuner 2 itself on the receiver are both bad. The actual coax cable itself is okay as I checked it. Any suggestions ?. Is it possible a leg is out on the zinwell that tuner 2 is plugged into and the actual tuner 2 itsself is out on the receiver at the same time.

The slimline 5 never wavered, warbled or froze not even with 90+ mile an hour winds until electricity went out at 3am. All receivers powered back up 4 days later when I got electricity and all have strong signals except for tuner 2 on the r-15.

Any response would be appreciated.

A friend of mine suggests:

Get some simple COAX Female-Female connectors...
Connect the R15 directly to the dish to determine definitively it is the R15.

He should also reboot it, after connecting the two feeds to the dish.

If it works... have the multiswitch replaced.

Yes, it is important to do the reset after swapping coax - the DVR detects what is and isn't hooked up during startup. Sometimes a couple of resets might be needed if going from 1 to 2 tuners, or from 2 to 1 tuner.

On my HR's I can swap back and forth from tuners and instantly get a signal.
I tried hooking my Satgo to that particular coax coming from the wall and nothing happens and when I hook the tuner 1 coax coming from the wall to the satgo I immediately get a signal.

Would it be safe to say that my Zinwell could have an input out?
