Just got a new plasma set yesterday and notice that anything recorded or live broadcast through my R10 TiVo is like a quarter second off between video and audio. Not acceptable.
Anyone seen this.
(Yes, I have been to avsforums and didn't find much about this.)

* Brand/model TV?
* How is the DVR connected to your TV (cables, connectors, inputs/outputs)?
* Are you using an AV Receiver? How is it connected?

Hitachi 42hds69, manufactured Nov06
R10 dvr connected currently with S-vid, but getting component cables after work today.
Optical cable from R10 to Sony 5.1/DTS capable receiver.

Never had this problem with my Sony Wega...just noticed it when I hooked up the new plasma last night.

What happens if you connect the R10's audio output directly to the Plasma, so that both audio and video are connected directly to the TV? I'm wondering if the Plasma's video processing timing is somehow offset from the Sony's audio processing timing.

I am going to try that and a couple other things tonight and will report back. Even if it works that's a disappointment since I have the receiver and six speaker system so I do NOT have to listen to the television's speakers.

So I discovered last night! Anyway, my HR10 is on it's way by Monday.
Last night viewing other programs live and off the Tivo the problem was far less pronounced. Maybe I was just seeing things. But thank you for the input folks.
