My sister-in-law was leaving following dinner and discovered one of her tires needed a lot of air (and knowing her, they all would). I said, "Can I first watch the last 6 minutes of the Eagles-Cowboys game?" My wife replied, "Thats football, it'll take 1/2 an hour." We both looked at each other and yelled "TIVO!" OK, its not a Tivo but it paused and picked up right were I left off.

Great game! :D
Very good game... I had a similar experience with Monday night football and my HR-20 came in REALLY handy. It was actually the first time I'd used my DVR for football. That 30 sec slip comes in handy when watching football. :)

Once you go DVR you can't go back.
I'm really starting to agree with this.

The 30-second skip is absolutely the BEST for football. If you're watching a recorded game, you can hit it as soon as a play's over... and it picks up a couple seconds before the ball's snapped again... truly wonderful, if a bit depressing, as it just emphasizes how little of the 60 minutes of clock time are taken up with action.
