rapidsatellite.com (a.k.a. Circuit City) sells e-mail to spammers
This is hardly earth-shattering news but nonetheless disappointing.
I purchased an HR10-250 from rapidsatellite.com a couple years ago.
Apparently they are now owned by Circuit City.
Despite their Privacy Policy which claims that they will not share your e-mail address with 3rd parties, they appear to have done so, based on the flurry of spam I have received in recent days to the unique e-mail alias with which I registered my account.
It is entirely possible that they inadvertently "shared" my e-mail address by maintaining a low-security customer database. That's just disappointing in a different dimension, though.
In the event the company alters the privacy policy page, a permanent copy of the policy in force at the time can be found at archive.org.
