So due to the hurricane the Ravens vs Texans game has been moved from sunday to monday at 830. this will buck up against MNF....but it should still be a Sunday Ticket game...should it not???? or are all of us shelling out ridiculous amounts of money for ST going to get screwed out of a game?

I remember this happening a few years ago with a Steelers game and the way I remember it was that it WAS on ST but on delayed tape.

The game should air Live. I remember a few years back Miami had a game rescheduled to a Monday Night due to a Hurricane and it was carried live by Sunday Ticket at the same time the regularly scheduled Monday Night Game was.

That's the game I was thinking about. But wasn't it actually carried by ESPN with CBS graphics?!!

Actually at that time I think ABC still had Monday Night Football and what ABC did was it sent the regularly scheduled game to most of the country and the Miami game that had to be rescheduled for Monday Night was sent into the Miami Market and Their opponents Market and we still received the game via NFL Sunday Ticket. We had a choice of which game we wanted to watch. I don't know how this will be handled. I'm sure DirecTv would provide us NFL Sunday Ticket Subscribers with some kind of way to view this game though.

I believe one year the Dolphins played the Chiefs and the game was moved up to a Friday. The game didn't air live on NFL ST as I recall, but they ran it tape delayed at 1pm that Sunday on NFL ST.

Now for my question about this, were there markets receiving this tape delayed game? Or was it on NFL ST (and possibly replayed to those local markets) only?

It should at least be available in Short Cuts if nothing else. But maybe there is no precedent if the other games delayed in the past (which I knew there were some but I don't remember the specifics) were all played before Sunday instead of after.

If DirecTV wasn't charging such an obscene amount per game for those that use Sunday Ticket primarily for one teams' games it wouldn't be as big of a deal--but of course the way Sunday Ticket charged extra for HD when there was only 2-3 CBS games a week in HD its not like DirecTV looks at it that way anyway.

Hopefully msguy is right and this was the way that Dolphins game went down.

Come to think of it, it would really suck if you ordered NFL ST because you were a Ravens or Texans fan living in some other part of the country and you can't see it because of this. That goes against the fabric of the package as a whole...you would think they would HAVE to air the game.

I'll bet the game will be available on DirecTv. They'll have to provide it. We order the package for the games. The NFL has always been pretty good about providing the game in years past whenever there was a hurricane and games had to be rescheduled. I know a few years back a Miami game had to be rescheduled to a Monday night and DirecTv did have the game for Sunday Ticket Subscribers. It may or may not be in HD though. We'll just have to wait and see. The game may not even be able to be played Monday if Houston gets nailed. I'm following this situation closely because my Cubs are supposed to be playing a series in Houston this weekend and even the announcers on the Cubs game said They may not even be able to play Monday if the Houston area gets nailed by Hurricane ike. I think it would benefit everyone if they change the venue. But i'm not a decision maker.

Directv is charging an obscene amount for ST because they are paying the NFL an obsene amount to carry it. The ones making the big bucks is the NFL. They are selling content that is produced by FOX and CBS. Now that is a sweet deal.

that [email protected] game was moved to sunday night.

"This isn't the first time a game time has been changed because of an impending hurricane. In 2004, a game in Miami between the Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers was moved from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. to allow Hurricane Jeanne to pass through the area."

If you look at the schedule on the NFL page it shows that it is going to be on Sunday Ticket on Monday night channel 717 at 8:30pm EDT. Here is the link to their schedule.
