Raymarine to Launch Seafaring Sat-TV System

Marine-electronics provider Raymarine announced that it will launch a new satellite-television system enabling boaters greater access to satellite TV while at sea.
The 60 STV Satellite TV System identifies, acquires and tracks compatible signals from digital-video-broadcast satellites and is capable of incorporating position data from an external global positioning system...

The Raymarine 60 STV will be available in North America and Europe in January 2007. Also in January, Raymarine will introduce HD compatibility with DirecTV's HD programming packages for both its 45 STV and 60 STV.
