Earl or others with actual technical knowledge of how the HR20 works: Is there any difference between a red button reset and using the menu to invoke the "Restart Recorder" function?

With the necessrity for RBR's clearly on the rise, I'm wondering if I get the same effect when I don't cross the room to the HR20, but just restart using the remote.

Could the Menu reset be a kinder, gentler way? Flushing IO to disk for instance?

Cheers,

Pure speculation on my part,(agreeing with you on a more controlled shutdown) but if I CAN do it via the GUI, I do. (I've never had to do a RBR). When I was first playing with OTA, I did a reset via the GUI a few times (not required, I was just experimenting) and it worked fine. I've had the HR20 for about 15 weeks.
