RC64 jumpiness is really annoying

Is there anything that can be done to eliminate the "jumpiness" of the RC64 remote? Got three of them, and trying to punch in a channel number is infuriating, by far the worst of any remote I've ever had. (especially the channels that need 5 button pushes, like 662-1) It's like the keys are not "debounced" -- I routinely press a number once and get two of them on the screen.

I'm talking about 3 remotes, on three different boxes (an HR20 and two H21's) Direct line of sight. I opened the glass door in front on the HR20 entertainment center to eliminate the glass as a possibility. Tried RF and IR mode on the HR20.

The HR20 seems worse just because it's a slower box when it comes to scrolling the guide.

I know you don't want to hear this, but it really sounds like user error. Your most likely holding the button to long. I've got 4 HR2xs all with RC64s, no problems with multiple key entries.
Had similar problems with unintentional multiple key presses when using the remote in RF mode, but was okay with IR. When I did have that remote replaced, everything worked out okay.

Nope this is a SEROUIS problem with the HR20. I have three and several high quality remotes and the HR20 is crazy with key delays and key bounce. IMHO it's the HR20 box not any single remotes fault because I've used 4 diffrent barnded remotes and all of them have the same issue with the HR20. You can't blame the user when they press a number and get three of those numbers or a 4 sec delay before it shows the key press. I'm glad your not having the issue but I've seen this complaint allot with the HR20.
Definitely NOT user error - we have intermittent issues all the time on our HR21-100 and HR21-700. Sometimes it's infuriating (best adjective I can think of) and sometimes it works great.
I am also dreaded by the "key bounce" problem. I have a H21-200 non DVR receiver. 2 Different remotes make no difference, but if I use those remotes on my old SD receiver they both work flawlessly.
For those having problems while in IR, perhaps you could try obscuring the IR reception of the receiver by placing a piece of scotch tape over the IR "Eye" or maybe even some electrical tape with a small pinhole through it. Hopefully, this will decrease the sensitivity of the reception and will eliminate the multiple input issue.
