Rebuilding R10

I recently bought a used R10 off of eBay. The auction states that the unit will "power on but go no further". If my assumptions are correct this is an hard drive issue and can be easily fixed with the H/D from my old R10.

Any input on this?

I know I will need to do a reformat of my existing H/D in order to use it in the new R10, but do I reformat it before or after I install it into the new (used) eBay R10? (Rookie Question.....after right?)

If your old R10 has a working hard drive you can simply pop it into the eBay R10. You'll need to perform a "Clear and Delete Everything" before you can use it to record anything, though.
