Anybody having a problem with the RECALL button on 622. I watch local HD channel, switch to lets say ESPN , hit recall and it goes back to another channel, but not the last one I was looking at. Just a nuisance at this point.

I just tried this on my 622 and it worked. I was on FoodHD and selected a OTA HD channel. I hit Recall and it went back to FoodHD. Hit Recall again and it went back to same OTA HD channel. My 622 is in Dual mode right now and only has the choice of 1 Sat tuner and the OTA tuner. I can't try it in Single mode right now so I do not know if that makes a difference or not.:) :)

Are you watching a pre-record show on DVR? If this is the case you will not jump back to the recorded show, but to previous live show.

Example:

Watching ESPN.
Select something from the DVR that was recording off FOODHD
Change Channel to ABC HD.
Press Recall .... You will jump to ESPNHD not FOODHD.

Is this possible the scenario you are seeing. if so, this is expected behavior. If not, then see if you can get the exact steps and post them for some of us to try.

Or by chance were you using the PIP or Swap functions? If you are going back and forth between the two satellite tuners and hit recall it will go back to the last channel on that tuner not the channel that was on the other tuner. I actually prefer to use the Swap button if I am going back an forth for different programs (such as two football games) because there is no delay while switching.

To answer the questions.

I was in single mode, no watching a pre recorded show or in PIP.

I was simply trying to swap between two channels.

However that being said. I just tried it again and it worked. One of those bugs that comes and goes. Thanks

Just keep in mind that the "swap" button will work even if you do not have the PIP window open. It is very easy to hit the "wrong" one - they are both on the left side of the remote.

I have seen this, tried a few things, and it looked like you couldn't use the recall button to go back to a local HD channel. A couple of days later, when I wanted to verify, and try different combinations before I posted a question, all went well. I couldn't get it to happen.

When it was happening, it was definitely happening.

I saw this happen once myself. It happened while an OTA recording and a Sat Tuner 1 recording were happening. The swap always took me back to the OTA channel that was recording. I could then change channels to what I wanted to watch on the other Sat Tuner. I would do another swap and back I was watching the OTA recording again. The problem disappeared when the OTA recording ended. Maybe this has something to do with OTA recording while Sat Tuner is also recording?
