Received my replacement
Received my replacement yesterday. Actually received two due to a OMS screwup. Both were re-manufactured units so I took the 50/50 gamble and picked one to try.
Forced download on first boot, went through setup. All seemed fine. Called and activated the unit, fine. Got the partial lockup/remote unresponsive bug within 5 minutes of startup. Played with what buttons worked for a few minutes and it went away on its own. I did a RBR anyway and so far the unit has worked well.
I have tried all sorts of trick play moves, recording on one while watching another on both OTA and sat connections. Recording OTA while watching Sat and vice versa. Only one sub channel missing from my OTA locals. So far so good.
One note on the re-manufactured units. One unit has a dent on the top right corner of the faceplate which makes me believe that in the past it was dropped hard on its corner. The other unit had marks on the front faceplate but otherwise looks ok. Both came with the remote with the larger buttons but no RF. I think it is the RC32? They came with manuals, cables (no HDMI or Component) BBC's and remotes. I am suppose to return the bad one within 7 days.
