I operate a number of ViP211k, ViP211z, and Wally receivers off of a single Western Arc DPP 1000.2 dish.
3 lines from the dish feed to a DPP44, then to a DP34, then another DP34. Let's call the outputs of those 1-12. Output 1 from the DPP44 is being powered with the power inserter.
This setup has been working well for me for over a year, but I have recently been having trouble with receiving certain orbitals/transponders.
The current receiver assignments are:
From DPP44:
1) ViP211z
2) ViP211k
3) Wally
4) Wally
From 1st DP34:
5) Wally
6) Wally
7) Wally
8) ViP211z
From 2nd DP34:
9) Wally
10) Wally
11) Wally
I just did a full power down of all of these receivers and the power inserter for the DPP44. When they come back up, I find the #1 ViP211z having the following installation summary:
Port: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4
Sat: 129 / Conn / 110 / X
Trans: Yellow OK / X / Green OK / X
Device: 1K.2 / 1K.2 / Feed / N.C.
Status: Reception Verified
Switch: DPP44
SuperDISH is checked, Alternate is checked
#2 ViP211k has a "normal" or at least better Installation Summary: 1 = 119 green OK 1K.2, 2 = 110 green OK 1K.2, 3 = 129 green OK 1K.2 SuperDISH checked, Alternate NOT checked.
#3 Wally is listing 2 tuners (I thought it was 1?) and has green checks for 119 and 110, but red Xs for Conn, and no mention of 129. Alternate is Off.
#4 Wally seems happier - it lists 119/110/129 being fed properly.
The remaining receivers are also looking good.
Then I ran a Check Switch on the #1 ViP211z again, getting a different result:
Port: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4
Sat: 129 / 110 / 129 / X
Trans: Green OK / Green OK / Yellow OK / X
Device: Feed / 1K.2 / 1K.2 / N.C.
Status: Reception Verified
Switch: DPP44
SuperDISH is checked, Alternate is checked
Any ideas on what's going on here that the #1 ViP211z gets weird changes-each-time installation summaries? Why the #3 Wally wouldn't know about 129?
