Anybody experience their yellow record light not going away when they are not recording anything? I have nothing currently being record in the list nor do I have anything to be recorded any time soon. I reset the box and it got rid of the yellow light being on. I am starting to think a reset is now needed every few days on this HR20 just like the older MS Windows operating systems. I don't mind but it is annoying to have these bugs.

Possibly it's recording something into the VOD area.
Sorry, the HR20 is my first DVR. What is the VOD area? I am not aware of it. I thought that the only time the record yellow light comes on is when its recording whatever I have programmed in the "To Do list"

There is no need to reboot the box if the record light stays on. Just hit the record button (to record the current channel) and then hit it again to stop recording, that should get rid of light.

I've seen this before, a couple of days ago actually. It will go out after a while, you won't need to reset, or you can also do as was already suggested and record something then cancel it to get it off more quickly.
