Record series on HR34
I have a series recorded (Big Band Theory) set for 'record both'- first run and older episodes. Sometimes, I've checked the channel and see that it is recording some episodes per night but not others. It's on 3-4 times a night but I might only get one or two episodes recorded. I'm not recording other shows at those times and have moved it up to the top in the priority list.

For example if it just has a generic show description of Big Bang Theory, without any other information telling you what happens in that episode, or what the original air date was. If that happens more than once your DVR thinks it's the same episode so it doesn't record it. I used to have an issue like that with my local Fox station. They ran episodes of The Simpsons every day at 5 and 9 PM, but never included any information about what episode it was, so my receiver never knew if it was a new episode, old episode etc.
Did not know any of that was going on in the background. Thanks for clearing it up.
