Hi New HR-21 User here (longtime DirecTivo user).

I set the US Olympic Swimming Trials to record from 8-9 last night (added to ToDo list the day before). At about 8:05 I went to start watching it. It was showing when I turned on the TV. The show never showed up in My Playlist. I watched about 20 minutes at that time and I know that it was recording since the progress bar was red instead of green. I had paused the recording and came back to shut off the TV as I could no longer watch in that sitting.

With the DirecTivo the show would always show up in the Playlist if I was watching it while the rcording was in progess. Is there something different or did I do something wrong.

This was a bug that used to show up on the R15. If the show being recorded was in the Live Buffer, it would not write to the harddrive and put the show into the PlayList until the Live Buffer was cleared (usually done by changing the channel). I didn't think the HR21 was affected with this issue though.

If it happens again, try changing the channel and see if it shows up in the PlayList.

No you didnt do anything wrong. It should show up in the playlist as recording (little orange circle with an R in it). Like The Merg said might be a bug. If it happens again maybe try a RBR.
