recordings starting 1-5 minutes late?

I am having an issue with my HR22-100. It is not recording most programs on time, they are missing the first 1-5 mins. This all started after the 0x5cd update i received. I have done a few red button restarts so far, but no luck.

What seems to be happening, is that if 2 shows are recording, or double play is activated, it is taking 1-5mins for the tuner to change to the channel that is set to record. I have native turned off, and resolution set only to 1080I. I also have a HR21-700 that is not having these issues.

Any ideas?

How full is the HD? Are you actively watching it generally when this happens?

I'd try a Guide Flush (two menu resets in 30 minutes). I'd turn Native back on, on the theory that the DVR has less to do.

HD is pretty full, currently 9% available. I hardly ever watch live tv, so no i am not normally watching when this happens.

By menu rest do you mean menu>settings>reset? if so, will that cause me to lose my recordings? I have never reset that way before.
No, it shouldn't. It will cause the Guide to be flushed out, and a new one gets rebuilt automatically. Menu reset is similar to a red button reset, perhaps gentler in it allows for housekeeping in shutdown mode.

Another thing to check is your series list. Can it be pruned? I keep my HR20-700 under 60% full. If you can prune some stuff you'll never watch, that could help.
Can't trim series list, i don't even have enough spots as it is.

But I've had this dvr since 2008 and have always had 50 series list and almost full HD, never had this issue once before the last update.

I am only 10 months into my contract or else I'd just call and try to get a HR34, but I'm afraid if I swap out this dvr with my protection plan they will send me one with only 50 hrs of high-def recording time instead of the 100 that I have now.

Why am I the only one having this issue after the 0x5cd update? very frustrating. anyone know when the next update is coming, maybe that will fix my issue.
make sure you use the menu-settings-reset-restart receiver...not the reset everything, that will cause you to lose everything.
