Recordings with 90 minute buffer

This appears to be an old problem that I'm not having with new recordings, but I was curious if anyone's seen this. I was watching a couple of older recordings tonight (prior to the last update certainly and maybe prior to the one before that) and noticed that when you got to the beginning of the recording you could continue rewinding ninety minutes prior to the start of the program you were recording (you start seeing negative numbers in the bar that shows the recording). I guess it got the ninety minute buffer as well as the show picked to record. Elsewhere I posted about the time remaining on the hard drive being significantly lower than I would expect from what I had recorded. I guess this explains it!

Has anyone else noticed this and am I right that it's an old problem? I checked several new recordings and none of them had this issue.

I have not seen that, but have had the opposite where the marker on the bar went past the end time by 40 minutes on a recorded show.

I had forgot to set up Dal/TB game, got home near the end of the 3rd hit record and added 30 min. (it was tuned to that channel so the buffer was there). Later in the night I selected to play it from the list. First thing I see is a black screen, then it fast forwarded it self until the point where there was video playback and started playing. This had to be the point 90 minutes before i hit record. I clicked play to view the bar which stated the recording was 2hrs 18 min long, but ended up showing 2hrs 50min when it asked to delete or keep.

Weird.
