is there a way to do it through the GUI? I sometimes want to restart the box when it gets sluggish. However I was doing reset the box through the GUI and thats not a good thing for guide data..

Near as I can tell, the "Restart Recorder" option is the same as the Red restart button. For instance, I can force a software download with either restart technique.

I do wonder and hope that at least the "restart recorder" option is more gentle on the shutdown side of things.
