I wasn't sure where to put this note. If you can find the old thread where I posted the full SNL Kagan price list from a couple of years ago, it would fit in there.

Multichannel News reports that SNL Kagan reports that regional sports network prices are increasing quickly, to the point where "there are more than 30 RSNs in the U.S., charging an average affiliate fee of $2.30 per subscriber per month - more than double the fee for the priciest non-all-sports cable net, TNT, at $1.08. (TNT does carry some National Basketball Association and NCAA men's basketball tournament content.)"

Personally, I think we're seeing a sports rights-fee bubble that would burst as soon as providers can split the sports channels away to an optional tier. Which might not happen for a long time.
