Remapping HD locals

I get some of the HD locals via Dishnetwork , but for some reason they are all mapped in the 6400 range, I would like to make 6460 show up as 4-01 or whatever it really is. it puts the OTA ones there, but the antenna that I have sucks so it does not pickup the stations well.

I forget exactly how to get there... but on the menu where you can add/scan for OTA channels there is an option that takes you to a screen that allows you to define your satellite locals mapdown. I believe it defaults to HD priority, but there is a setting for SD only, and a setting to disable. This is probably also covered in the manual as well, but I'm sure someone will wander along shortly that can tell you the exact way to get to the option that I'm talking about.

Mapped down satellite channel locals will be as -00 channels, (like 5-00 for example) when mapped down.
Yep.. as HDMe mentioned.. It is on the local Page where you scanned for your OTAs. Hmmm Trying to remember if Mapping occurs when you don't have OTA channels. Anyone out there with no OTAs that can verify if the channels get mapped down?

It does. Either the 6xxx or 8xxx are mapped based on the HD/SD priority setting regardless if OTA is present. If HD is selected (default) and no 6xxx are available, 8xxx is mapped down.
OTA is mapped down whenever present.
If HD/SD priority setting is set to disabled, and no OTA is present, nothing is mapped.
