Hello,
I've had my 622 for almost 4 months now. Remote#2 has been going through batteries like crazy. I've tried many different battery brands thinking that may be the issue...but no luck. I can't get them to last longer than 2.5 weeks...while Remote #1 is still running on it's 4 month old batteries without any issues, and it gets about 10 times the use that #2 gets. i assume that an RF remote uses more juice than an IR...but this is rediculouse. also, i've read that some folks have had the "Remote Battery Low" messages while the remote continues to opperate...but not this one. after the "LOW" message appears i get about 20 more button pushes and then it is dead.
Has anyone else had this problem?

thanks,
trip

I've got through many UHF remotes from Dish, everything from my 5000 to my 622 and I've NEVER seen the batteries drain that fast. I'm thinking that you may have a faulty remote. I'd suggest calling Dish and see if you can get a replacement.

I had a faulty remote for my 921 which ate batteries at roughly the rate you are describing (perhaps a set every week or week and a half). I had Dish replace it and never had any further problems; you should definitely have it replaced.
