I am getting ready to move my HR21-100 from my bedroom to living room(because it is black and will match better). My present HR20-100 is in my Living Room and it is setup to run though my Surround Sound system and is control by my Logitech Universal Remote. Though it no big deal to change the Logitech to the HR21-100 I was just wondering if anyone knows if the Remote codes for controlling the HR21-100 are the same as the HR20-100?

They are the same, however, there is a second code set. For the Logitech(harmony?) it will be something like id2.

The IR code sets for the Directv remote would be 00001 & 00003.

They are identical (except, of course, in RF mode). You shouldn't have to do anything unless you have at some point switched the receiver to receiver 2 through the menu.

I've switched my HR20 and HR21 a couple of times and didn't have to do anything with either my Harmony 880 or Directv remote.

Y'all don't want to know how many times I've moved receivers in and out using the same remotes... :lol:

OK, I moved the units around and Harmony Remote works great without making any changes to it.
