I agree. 10000 has worked for the thousand or so Sonys that I've come across.mdavej said:There are several tv codes that will work. 10810 is a common one.
Good info. I've been using 10000 for about 9 years now because it has "always worked." That meaning the power on and off and volume while in Directv mode. Looks like I'll have to make a mental note to start using 10810 instead.mdavej said:Yes 10000 is an older code that works with nearly any sony and is great for basic control. But 10810 is newer and has some additional functions like colored buttons and transport controls that work with bravia sync. Besides that, it's the same as 10000.
Great suggestion. Thank you. The 65 type remote is key - just couldn't get my 64 type remote to work, but 21516 works with Sony BDP -S390 Blu Ray player. Thanks. Incidentally code 10812 works with Samsung PN64E533D2 great 64 inch plasma TV as well.makaiguy said:What model remote do you have? Ones with 64 as part of their model name do not have the Sony Blu-ray code built in. You need a current "65" model which reportedly does support Sony Blu-ray code 21516. You can find them on eBay for around 20 bucks (just ordered one), or less if you don't want RF capability.
