Hi everyone,

First post here in the Dish forums, so please bear with me....

I finally convinced myself to set up the remote for my 722 to control my Blu-Ray and DVD players, only to find that none of the codes in the manual worked. (Of course, there are no Blu-Ray codes, so I used the DVD codes listed; don't know if this is supposed to work.)

I have a (fairly new) Samsung BD-P3600 Blu-Ray player and an (old) Sony DVP-NS501P DVD player (for backup when the Blu-Ray player occasionally refuses to play a DVD). I was not able to get either working with the remote.

Does anyone have either of these devices who has been successful in programming the remote? That failing, is there an updated list of the codes online anywhere? I was just sent a replacement remote and was excited to discover that a code list was included, but it had TV codes only, and my TV is not a problem.

You can find the remote codeshere.

If that doesn't work and you have one of the learning remotes, then you can teach the codes to the device. I would write down what keys you want to program ahead of time. Instructions are here (skip to page 21 of the PDF).

Thanks for posting that. I use my DISH 722k remote control for the satellite receiver and TV, but maybe I should add the code for the Sony Blu-Ray disc player, too!
