Bummer, so my only way is to use the rf on the new hr21 remote cotrol?davring said:I don't think you can control more than two HD tuners with the same remote. Hopefully Edmund, the remote master, might see this post and give you accurate advice.
I read that post also but I think it is incorrect. For example, enabling RF on the remote DOES disable IR. If it didn't the remote would continue to control the adjacent receiver in IR. I have three DVRs next to each other, and the one using RF (an HR21) DEFINITELY does not affect either of the other two which use IR.rlgold88 said:Found, I will give this a try http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=75128 post 16. If I can get the 3 remotes to work individually with IR then I can plug in the 3rd hr21 into the harmony button by button.
I am assuming hr20 remote signals are the same for hr21?
no, only two HR20s and one H20 or vica versa....anyway not three HR20s. However, this is for all IR....you could have the third RF. Again, look at this thread...Edmund's inspiration.rlgold88 said:I currently have a harmony880 controlling 1hr20-700 and 1hr20-100 same room with different IR codes from this thread http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=79330
I want to add another HR21 can the harmony 880 do this and how? (control the 3 dvr independently)
Are the remote codes for the hr20's the same for hr21's?
Thanks
Rob
They will all be in the same room connected to the same tv's.
I looked
I see I will not be able to have the 3 hr20/21 in IR (only if it were h20/21). For a second I thought all I had to do is program the new hr21 in the av1 slot and use the 00002 code as I programed the av2 slot with 00003. But I see that they are tied togather. Oh well I will use the RF for the new hr21. Whats another remote anyway! Thanks for clarifyingthekochs said:no, only two HR20s and one H20 or vica versa....anyway not three HR20s.
