I am out of contract by 1 month and have been a customer for 2 years.

Currently have:
Choice Xtra Classic
Slim Line with SL3K4NR1-03 LNB
H20-600 in living room
D12-700 in bedroom

What I want:
HR24 in living room
HR24 in bedroom

Is this possible? I'm assuming it is a stretch since many people can't even get 1 HR24 and since you supposedly can't request certain models.

I do not want ANY programming upgrades. NFL/NBA Tickets, HBO, Showtime, etc... DO NOT WANT.

What are the chances I can get 2 DVRs (don't have to be HR24) when I upgrade?

Attempt 1: Called in about "Equipment Upgrade".
CSR said it would be $400 for 2 new HD DVRs, and no current promotions for renewing my service.

Got a very nice guy who was very knowledgeable.

Offer 1:
HD DVR for $20
-$15/mo for 1 year

Offer 2:
2x HD DVR for $170 + 2x $20
-$10/mo for 1 year

Offer 3:
HD DVR + Whole Home DVR (using SWM) $170 + 2x 20
-$10/mo for 1 year

Not bad... Current bill is $87 after tax. Offer 1 is the most likely candidate. New bill would be -$7 since DVR costs $8/mo.
Still not sure if it is worth it or not. I might just switch to OTA HD and a media player box.

Keep in mind, going with that deal, you'd get anything from an HR20-HR24. They'll only guarantee a THR22 or HR34.

I'm going to step in and say the chance of it happening is far less than 1%. It would take a supervisor issuance of several hundred dollars worth of credits and unless you have been a DirecTV customer for a long time and you spend a large amount on DirecTV (Top 10% of customers) then it's just simply not going to happen.

Prcoessing fee's and Install charges are charged per order not per unit on an order.

Point of clarifcation all HD receivers require a 24 month contract no exceptions for lease upgrades. I assuming the $10/year is addional discount provided to cover the HD charge for the first year.

all told the deals that CRG offered you are quite good i'd personaly go with one of them. 447.95 in hardware and install for 189.95-209.90 (depends if they process one or two orders) is a nice deal.

they should install one HR24 for free, assuming you have a good payment record, in return for two year contract. That is what I would hold out for. The other one for $99.
