I have a old Tivo HDVR2 I think I will see if I can get a deal. I am using a HR10-250 with OTA for 90%+ for HD.
I want to keep HR10-250 and get hr20. Could not find any post where these have been exchanged out for a deal.
Since D will be dropping the hr10 out in a year or more may be good idea to get a head start. Have been with D for 13+ years and all packages except Sports.

You'll have to call DirecTV and see what they offer. The HR20 is not a replacement for the HDVR2. The R15 DVR is more comparible to the HDVR2. While you might get a good deal on an R15 DVR, I doubt you'll get a big discount on the HR20 HD DVR. But as a long time customer, you might get lucky.

I know it is not a replacement for hr20 , but do not want to give up hr10-250 that I bought. Felt it might be good to get on the hr20. I have seen the hr20 in home being a electrical contractor I see the hr20 in homes and the GI is very differnet. Mt wife will have a real hard time moving from tivo.

Just had DTV do this for me on 2 HR10-250s. The CSR said I could move one to the position currently occupied by the HDVR2 and keep the 2nd HR10-250 as a backup (one HR10-250 and one HDVR2 w/120 hours recording will soon be on ebay). No charge for the 2 new HR20s or the 5lnb.
