Replacement 622 Acts Different

I just installed a remanufactured 622 ( a power outage fried the hard drive on my old unit). On this new unit When I set up manual timers to record two programs at the same time, the first timer shows on tuner 2 and the second shows on tuner 1. My old unit did the opposite. This is only a problem when I want to watch a program I am recording. The 622 is set up in dual mode. Does anyone else have a 622 that does this?

Also, the new unit came with a smart card. According to the tech rep, Dish is sending all 622 owners smart cards that will override the built in smart cards. Has anyone else heard about this?

Check out MENU-8-5 Record Plus

The preference set on that screen (if enabled) will make recordings show up on one TV first and then the other. Change it to TV1 and you'll be back to what you expect.

Or disable the feature and let each TV set up their own recordings.

Yes, DISH is sending new smart cards ... that empty slot in your machine will get some use!
