I just receievd my R15 that is replacing a R10 that went bad. I activated it over the phone. I am getting all channels except my locals. The guide is showing info for my locals for tonight, but not tomorrow and the screen is just blank when I tune to a local channel. Does it take awhile for the locals to start playing after the new receiever is activated? The CS Rep did not mention anything of this.

I am assuming that you have the three LNB dish and you had locals before? Call D* again. Sounds like they forgot to turn on your locals.

I'm getting locals on the other receiver though so I do not see how that could be it. I'll call anyways and see what they say.

Do you have a second dish for your local channels? If so, you need to do this Menu>Settings>Setup>Satellite>Auto Detect Info, and that process should get your local channels back.

If not...what kind of dish DO you have?

If you call, they should be able to help you get some picture back

That was the exact problem. That's what they had me do when I called the second time. Must be something you only need to do when you have 2 dishes.
