Is it just me, or does the amount of time replayed with the jump back vary wildly. It seems to me sometimes I have to hit it two or three times to get back eight seconds or so.
Then, last night I hit it once and it jumped back about 40 seconds, way too long. Then when I hit FF to move up to the dialogue I missed, it went straight past it to where I had jumped back from. It was like there was this forty second stretch I couldn't access other than playing it all the way through.
I guess I'm wondering if this is:
Is it just my imagination?
Is it defective?
Is it by design?
If it's not by design is there any chance of getting it a little more consistant?
The only thing I really miss from Tivo is the automatic adjustment when returning to play. I've heard that jump back to play approximates it, and it probably would if my jump back was the same every time. I'm sure I could train my eyes and hands to get it right, but I can't as long as the jump back changes.
