No, this won't work. If you have the 5lnb dish, you'd need all 4 leads coming from the satellite into a proper multi-switch to provide multiple feeds. You can't split a single line later on.

Try the santa update tonight, followed be a hard reset on the HR20, hopefully it will solve your recording issues. My HR20 has been rock solid with the x108 update.

Then I'd try using the Santa update tonight and if it works, you'll be set and can retire the UTV (man, I haven't had one of those in ages!)
