Your wife may have stopped watching before it ran to the end of the program. Try hitting "don't delete" then go back to your playlist and select the program.mwhaley said:

I had a different issue earlier and rebooted the unit, now I can play the programs from the beginning again.
Must have been a glitch and the restart fixed it.

I just 3X FF (now 4X!) to the end and then say don't delete.. and it starts at the beginning next time.
If you hold down the replay button (the circle with the arrow) for many seconds, it will go back to the beginning.
