Perhaps it belongs in the 0xFA discussion thread, but Earl please move it there if so.

Anyway, one thing I've noticed with the latest software update is when I pause live TV, after resuming it pops back 4-5 seconds or so. It's not overly annoying, since I'd rather it jump back than forward :) But it's something I noticed.

Anyone else seeing this with 0xFA?

I thought I had seen that. It doesn't happen to me every time though

I didn't notice it until 0xFA... it doesn't always seem consistent though.

This was a TiVo feature that users were clamoring for, even on this forum. It is about a 3 second jump back after un-pause so that you can see where you left off. It is on purpose.

It doesn't do that when you fast forward, then hit play. It's not that feature, as I think others have pointed out that it's patented by Tivo.

And let's face it, 3 second jump back isn't nearly enough to compensate for even 2x FFWD.

It seems like a minor bug to me, not a feature, since it as others have pointed out and I can confirm - it's inconsistent. It doesn't do it every time. ;)

I have noticed the same thing when exiting from a Recorded program and returning, it skips back a few seconds.

Nice feature.

"nice feature"... nah, this is a bug. If it were consistent, maybe it could be considered on purpose. But because unpausing sometimes causes a varying 1-5 second jumpback, this can't be the behavior that the engineers envisioned.

BUG!
