I have several HD DVRs, and have recently noticed that when I stop viewing a program, and later go back to Resume watching, I am taken to the beginning of the program rather than the point at which I stopped viewing. The Resume option is there in the menu, but it does not appear to work. This is happening at least on my HR24-100 and HR20-700 HD DVRs. I have 2 other DVRs but have not tested to see if they are doing this. I have reset the units, and this behaivor continues. Is this a known issue? If there is a thread on this, I missed it.

Are you trying to Resume on the same DVR that playback was started on or the other DVR? If the latter, be sure to hit Stop and not Pause. If you hit Pause and try Resume on another DVR, it will start playback from the beginning.

Thanks for your thoughts. I am aware that using Pause vs Stop will not allow the Resume function to work. This is occurring intermittently, and it is occurring when trying to resume on the same DVR on which the show was recorded, and on networked DVRs. If no one else has experienced this, I'll have to continue to monitor myself to rule out my error. I have used Resume successfully, however, for as long as I can remember until recently.

Also make sure to hit stop before turning the reciever off/putting it in standby. I think putting it straight into standby while watching a recording can mess up the resume option also (and I think it might be part of the problem with the DVRs thinking you are still streaming a program using Whole Home too).
