i ripped a TV show onto my computer from my 510 and the audio sucks, it sounds like everyone is under water. what happened here? could it be my sound card in my computer?

I can't tell you what happened, but I can say that I have never had such problems doing the same. Assuming that you were taking it off the hard drive and haven't erased it yet, I would try again and see if the same thing happens. If it does I would first suspect the capture card.

Also check you dolby digital settings. If the original program was in 5.1 and you don't have your software set up properly that could cause the underwater like sound.
